It can be hard or even uncomfortable to reflect on a year where maybe everything didn’t quite go to plan, but I encourage you to lean into it – I promise I’m in the same boat.
Holidays periods are an amazing time to reset, reward yourself and enable you and your team to hit the road running next year.
Once you’ve genuinely created space and rest for yourself, set a time in your calendar to reflect on your year.
A new year comes new opportunities, and with that new plans and objectives to achieve.
So start simple: what is the 1 task you can do daily for 10 minutes, that will have the biggest impact on you and your business in 2023?
Write these answers down, record them, create a note on your phone – whatever method works, just get it down “on paper.”
Review your personal and business budgets
- Are you going to make any big purchases in 2023?
- Are you making those for ego? (Keeping up with the Jones’s?)
- Are you making those purchases out of necessity?
- Will they make you money? Or cost you money?
- What investments are you making in 2023 that will set you up for future success? Are you investing in your team? In your business? Or in lifestyle?
Review your wealth creation strategy
- What are you hoping to achieve next year?
- What are you expecting to happen financially?
- What opportunities do you have?
- Can you do more wealth creation (investments) or do you need to pull back?
Reflect on yourself
- Are you right now living your “best life”?
- How do you define that?
- What do you not enjoy the most about your current life?
- What can you change that will help you achieve that life?
Once you have answers to these, comes the important bit: Make a plan to enable the space to achieve it.
The only way I am actually able to make anything happen is by blocking time out of my calendar to solely focus on a task. And by doing that, am I able to consistently deliver on new projects, businesses, or client work.
I believe 2023 is the year for you to shine. Regardless of what happens around us in our economy, it should never dampen your resolve to create something truly special.
Wishing you happy holidays, space and rest for an amazing 2023.
